Shortlist

I have some questions about the shortlist. I noticed that the players in the shortlist are all retired.

1. Is it only possible to shortlist old players who are about to retire or can you shortlist any player?
2. What do you gain to shortlist a player?
3. What is the downside to shortlist a player?
4. What happens when you remove a shorlisted player?
5. What does it mean when a shorlisted player is ambassador?

1. Yo ucan shortlist anyplayer. But, in order to see their skills, player has to be transfer listed by his owner (or be a member of your squad)
2. Its really up to each manager. Some like to have a few top players shortlisted, so when they are listed, they know instantly
3. I think none
4. Nothing. You just remove him from you shortlist. Player will remain the same at his own club. You can shortlist him again whenever you want
5. Ambassadors are players that formerly played for your team, and were fired or retired in your team. Its just an "honour" position your club gives to each of them. You can negotiate with them to make them coaches for your club if you want, or discard them completely. By shortlisting them, you gain nothing
