Chuck U Farley Cup 6th Edition

Welcome to the 6th edition of the Chuck U Farley International Cup. The 6th edition will see the return of two former individual champions, Polaris Star (current title holder) and The Ginger Kids. There has never been a repeat champion, will either of these clubs up for the challenge? In addition to the individual champion, France returns with a strong line-up to compete for their second consecutive nations championship. However, the other four previous winners, (Bulgaria, USA, Spain and Romania) will have a lot to say about this. This thread will be the home for all banter and up to date information. This is my 4th edition in this competition, and it provides many thrills. One thing for certain it is a competition of teams with similar skills which means anything can happen within any of the groups then add to that the excitement of trying to gain points for your country to be the best of the twelve. Glad the cup has regained life again, been too long since the last one. Good luck to everyone, except for the teams in my group[;)]. Don't forget to become a part of the federation, too.This is my 4th edition in this competition, and it provides many thrills. I believe your group is what we would call "the group of death" with the likes of Polaris, Ginger Kids and Stremowo. Good luck in that one. Mine is the Munchen Lions, seems like every edition I get drawn in a group with Anna's team which is a real thorn in the butt. But I have to say that all teams in this edition are going to be tough to beat. Staying out of relegation is an achievement of its own for all countries.

Current group invite status; Group A - all invites out, 10 confirmed participation. I will hopefully have two substitutions from the countries for the missingclubs. Group B - all invites out, 12 confirmed participation. Group C - all invites out, 10 confirmed participation. One confirmed alterante and I should have the other alternate confirmed from the respective country. Group D - all invites out, 11 confirmed participation. I am working diligently to find a third confirmed alternate. I hope to have cup ready to go on Sunday for a Monday start.Current group invite status;

Apologies to those managers who signed up for a second Group B. I had cancelled all the invites and asked support to cancel the FL but somehow invites were send and now 6 people have signed on. I am trying to work with support to close this erroneous FL so there will be no confusion over which is the real Chuck U Farley Group B. The wrong FL has not been started so any Chuck U Farley matches in your schedule are the real thing.Apologies to those managers who signed up for a second Group B. I saw that arne, that realy stinks. I went down by the same scoreline however, the difference being a double yellow in the 25 minute. Well balanced teams in all groups. I believe it is designed that way for very competitive leagues. One of the best with the unique format. It seems to be ambivalent towards me. I had a great run until I managed to end up with 10 players on my side of the field and the 6-0 loss that followed... Man, this is just so frustrating... first I play against Sentemiento Rioplatense. After I manage to score 5 goals, he succeeds in doing the same (5-5), and a 11-18 sc end in a 2-1 win for my Brazilian opponent. Dang! We seem to have fallen into a nasty slump. A draw and two losses over the weekend. I have slipped 4 places and killed any possible momentum the USA had of getting out of the cellar.Dang!
