Eric Langen didn't get a good kick on the ball. 9 minutes into the match, MCFC's goal looked a bit too open when Geir Ryan came free, but Erik Dalheim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13thth minute of the game Geir Ryan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MCFC's Erik Dalheim was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 15th match minute, MCFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eric Langen to maneuver through the defense. Erik Dalheim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geir Ryan in the 18th minute of the match. When Cent Årvik came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Ophus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cent Årvik couldn't finish the play. Erik Dalheim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henrik Kvalnes, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Erik Dalheim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geir Ryan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 25 minutes, Geir Ryan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ophus's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geir Ryan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 27th minute, Cent Årvik left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ophus fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 31 played minutes Ophus got a freekick which was hit by Frode Kleiveland. Erik Dalheim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cent Årvik in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Jon-Egil Nerhus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. MCFC's Erik Dalheim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geir Ryan in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th match minute, MCFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thorbjørn Singstad to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Geir Ryan in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erik Dalheim saved MCFC from getting behind. Erik Dalheim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geir Ryan in the 40th minute of play. When the match clock showed 41 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Cent Årvik sped through MCFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Erik Dalheim. Erik Dalheim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cent Årvik's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. After a rather tough play, Ophus's Frode Kleiveland got a free kick in the 46th minute. After having played for 47 minutes, Jon-Egil Nerhus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MCFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jon-Egil Nerhus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jon-Egil Nerhus stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cent Årvik's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Erik Dalheim firmly grabbed it by the left post. 57 minutes into the match, MCFC's goalkeeper Erik Dalheim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cent Årvik. Erik Dalheim was a little too slow when Geir Ryan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 0-3. With a little luck, MCFC's Erik Dalheim got control of the ball when Cent Årvik tried to sneak it across the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 64 minutes, Erik Dalheim successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ophus's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jarle Devik in the 65th minute. A collision led to Ophus getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Erik Hadland hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jon-Egil Nerhus in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ole-Petter Koch saved Ophus from getting behind. MCFC's Erik Dalheim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save MCFC from getting a goal against them. 80 minutes into the game, Ophus's Henrik Kvalnes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erik Dalheim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Erik Dalheim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Henrik Kvalnes in the 86th minute. Henrik Kvalnes succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-5 in the 87th playminute. Erik Dalheim was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cent Årvik showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 91 minute of play. MCFC's Erik Dalheim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save MCFC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to MCFC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Christoffer Aksnes hit a great ball. Ophus played a much better game than MCFC and deserved their victory. The MCFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
