Xarilaou FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 5th minute Miladin Kirichev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alekos Papaggelis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Miladin Kirichev struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Alekos Papaggelis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Xarilaou FC. After a rather tough play, GREEN LIONS's Jorge Peredo got a free kick in the 15th minute. GREEN LIONS's Igor Fortun was substituted for Nikitas Galanos. Jorge Peredo kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Xarilaou FC's Alekos Papaggelis threw himself towards the right post 21 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Viktoras Stathiadis, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Merexildo Raimundo in the 22nd minute of play forced Xarilaou FC's goalkeeper Kostas Kourmouzis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Themis Efthimidis hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. If Paolo Oliveiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stratos Kabantais in the 28th minute of play forced GREEN LIONS's goalkeeper Alekos Papaggelis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alekos Papaggelis made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Paolo Oliveiro sent off a good shot on target. Kostas Kourmouzis came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by GREEN LIONS's Jorge Peredo. But to his dismay, Jorge Peredo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Miladin Kirichev's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Alekos Papaggelis firmly grabbed it by the left post. Kleanthis Marketis lost his temper 42 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 43rd match minute, Xarilaou FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kleanthis Marketis to maneuver through the defense. GREEN LIONS's Alekos Papaggelis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save GREEN LIONS from getting a goal against them. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Xarilaou FC's Achilleas Kanavatsos was substituted for Viktoras Stathiadis. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fanis Skaltsas to strike the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Xarilaou FC's goalkeeper Kostas Kourmouzis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Merexildo Raimundo. In the 62nd minute Theofanis Karafanakis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alekos Papaggelis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 64th minute the ball was on its way in behind GREEN LIONS's goalkeeper Alekos Papaggelis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Fanis Skaltsas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alekos Papaggelis was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Alekos Papaggelis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Achilleas Kanavatsos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute, Merexildo Raimundo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Kostas Kourmouzis, passed just outside the right post. Xarilaou FC were awarded a corner in the 84th minute after GREEN LIONS's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Paolo Oliveiro took the corner. After taking down the ball on Xarilaou FC's corner Paolo Oliveiro fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Alekos Papaggelis quite easily take care of the ball. 87 minutes into the match, GREEN LIONS's goal looked a bit too open when Achilleas Kanavatsos came free, but Alekos Papaggelis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alekos Papaggelis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fanis Skaltsas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Xarilaou FC's Fanis Skaltsas got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle went the supporters of GREEN LIONS were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Xarilaou FC side.
