But to his dismay, Miltos Makris quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With a little luck, Mean Machine's Stefanos Salepis got control of the ball when Stratos Kabantais tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kostas Kourmouzis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carles Pujol's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Carles Pujol sped through Xarilaou FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kostas Kourmouzis. Kostas Kourmouzis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carles Pujol, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Stefanos Salepis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miladin Kirichev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mean Machine's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. The Mean Machine players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
