In the event of two or more teams ending a season on the same number of points, their final positions are calculated using a number of “tie breakers” in the following order of importance

• Season's goal difference
• Goals scored during season
• Victories during season
• Goal difference in matches between tied teams (only applies when two teams tied)
• Away goals in matches between tied teams (only applies when two teams tied)
• Random draw

The promotion line shows how many teams are guaranteed promotion. Additional promotion places are often available, especially from the lower divisions. The higher you finish the greater your chances to be promoted to fill reserve places in higher divisions.
