Starting next season we will launch a new prized cup called National Legends Cup, which will tribute one of ManagerZone's never forgotten stars. It's up to you to decide who it will be.

Each season we will handpick players who has left a mark in the history books for it's country in one way or another. The player could still be active, or may have thrown in his football cleats many years ago. The chosen stars will face each other one-on-one in a voting contest on Facebook, where the winning player will advance to the next stage until there is only on player left - the ultimate National Legend.

For this first edition, we kicked off with eight very large and active countries in ManagerZone, and nominated each country's greatest goalscorer of all time.

Semifinalists are decided

The quarterfinal round has now ended and it was a close contest all the way in to the last hours. Below we have the result:

New voting has started

Mihail Multeanu got the most votes of all the quarterfinalists, more than twice as many as his semifinal opponent Xove Herrera. Can Herrera get enough votes to beat the Romanian legend in the semifinal or will the last round's favourite eliminate the suspense already after a couple of days?

In the second semifinal, the Swedish legend Karl-Michael Melander will face the well-known Brazilian legend Almir Lago that we know has a huge fan base on ManagerZone. Can Melander put some pressure on Lago? Soon we'll know!
