The latest Federations League season has reached its conclusion, and once again the Elite Divisions delivered plenty of drama from top to bottom. In football, Allstars Sverige successfully defended their crown with another flawless campaign, while ZHL Maraton went one better than last season to take the hockey title. Both champions finished with perfect records, but behind them there was no shortage of battles for medals, points and Elite Division survival.
Football review
Allstars Sverige remain the team to beat in the football Federations League. The reigning champions completed another perfect season, winning all eleven clashes to finish on 33 points. Their impressive 672 Tie Breaker Points also gave them the best total in the division. Drastic Clan kept the pressure on and finished second with 30 points after ten victories, their only defeat coming against the champions. FIQ - Federação dos Incríveis Quebrados secured the final podium position with 27 points and nine wins. Behind the leading trio, FEDEANTfinished a clear fourth on 21 points, while the middle of the table became considerably tighter. Just six points separated fifth-placed Army Black Knights from the relegation line, with several federations fighting for position until the closing rounds.
Hockey review
There was a change at the top of the hockey Federations League, as ZHL Maraton produced a perfect campaign to claim the Elite Division title. Eleven clashes brought eleven victories, 33 points and a division-leading 671 Tie Breaker Points. Last season's champions Federacion Argentina Unida were their closest challengers, winning ten times and finishing three points behind on 30. The battle for third place went to Federatia Romana de Hockey pe Gheata, who collected 27 points and also posted an impressive 649 Tie Breaker Points. Confederação Brasileira followed on 24 points, with MZ Hockey España taking fifth on 21.
