Federation League Review

26-03-2025 14:00

The Elite Division has never been this tense. In an incredibly close race, where Allstars Sverige won by just a few tiebreaker points ahead of Swedish Elite, both with 31 points, the two clashed a while ago and actually tied, 50-50. Meanwhile in hockey, MZ Hockey España has just won their second consecutive title, in an epic season where all top three federations gained 30 points.

Football review
Allstars Sverige again finished ahead of Swedish Elite, by the slimmest of margins. Fratres again finished third, just like last season, their fifth podium finish so far. Will they soon be able to muster the fire-power needed to challenge for the very top? In fourth spot we find a highly interesting newcomer: Turkey based Anadolu Federasyonu were created relatively recently, but have moved quickly through the divisions and landed on the top half of the Elite Division. Could this be the federation to finally challenge the Swedish dominance? The coming season will be a thrill to watch, for sure.

Hockey review

MZ Hockey España is yet again on top of the table, winning their fifth Elite Division gold medal so far. Just like last season, they are ahead of Sudden Death in second, and ZHL Marathon in third. This season was far closer than the last, however, with all three federations gaining the same amount of points (30), and MZ Hockey España won by a virtue of 4 extra tiebreaker points. In fourth spot we find a federation who so far hasn't been near enough to the top to be mentioned in these reviews. Timo no te Tima, established in 2018, have won Division 1 on no less than five occasions, but each time they've been promoted, they've gone straight back down again. Not this season, however, they have gathered enough strength to not only stick around in the Elite Division, they were close to the podium too.
