Federations League season 92.1/84.1 concluded yesterday. In the football game, Swedish Elite won again, dropping just a single point. Meanwhile in hockey, Sudden Death managed to win yet again, making it two in a row. We also want to remind you that a new rule is now in place: members will no longer be allowed to switch between First Teams within the same league group, during an ongoing Federations League season.
Football review Swedish Elite had quite a few scares this season, winning narrowly by just a single point on a couple of occasions, and drawing their clash against Fratres. Nevertheless, they did finish one point ahead of Los Ojos de Cualquier Manager, to claim yet another gold trophy. Los Ojos, who finished 3rd last season, was probably happy to climb yet another position this time around, switching place with Fratres who finished in the bronze position. Allstars Sverige narrowly missed the podium again, finishing fourth just like last season.
Hockey review While last season was unusually close at top, with all three top federations gaining 30 points, this season we had a different story. Sudden Death have slowly been making themselves stronger over several seasons and they are our winners for the second time in a row. This time they won all of their matches and secured a three point margin ahead of MZ Hockey España in 2nd spot. Los de Abajo Pueden! rose one position from last season and finished in 3rd, while ZHL Marathon dropped to 4th.
