Federations League review

Federations League season 91.2/83.2 concluded yesterday. In the football game, Swedish Elite won again with another flawless season. Meanwhile in hockey we have a brand new winner! Sudden Death hovered just outside the top two for many seasons but this time they made it to the very top.

Football review
Last season, Swedish Elite did finally drop a couple of points for the very first time since the launch of the Federations League, but now they are back to their flawless winning ways again. They won all eleven clashes and clinched gold by a healthy margin ahead of Fratres in 2nd spot. It has been a while since we saw Los Ojos de Cualquier Manager in the top three but they made a strong comeback to finish 3rd this time around, while Allstars Sverige narrowly missed the podium.

Hockey review
It was unusually tough this season, with all three top federations all gaining 30 points. Top spot in the hockey Federations League have bobbled back and forth between a few usual suspects, but now we see a new federation rising to the top. After finishing 4rth for three straight seasons, then 3rd after last season, Sudden Death have now won the gold trophy. Just behind them, Federatia Romana de Hockey pe Gheata finished 2nd after missing the podium last season, while last season's winners ZHL Marathon drops to 3rd. Los de Abajo Pueden!, who generally occupy one of the top spots, finished 4th.
