U21 Faroe Islands's Fríðrikur Castilho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remigio Toraño in the 6th minute of play. Reynardo Aizaran charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Reynardo Aizaran the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fríðrikur Castilho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barros Moraina in the 11th minute of play. In the 13th minute Barros Moraina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fríðrikur Castilho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fausto Guixe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jákup Midjurd in the 16th minute. With his leg Fausto Guixe managed to avoid a goal in the 17thth minute, when U21 Faroe Islands's Jákup Midjurd fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jákup Midjurd in the 19th minute of play forced U21 Colombia's goalkeeper Fausto Guixe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jákup Midjurd got free with Fausto Guixe in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bogi Jónsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Fausto Guixe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brian Castilho hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. Fríðrikur Castilho came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Colombia's Barros Moraina. But to his dismay, Barros Moraina quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 35 minutes into the game, Incendio Bugarin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U21 Colombia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Faroe Islands the free kick. Rios Molleda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of U21 Colombia booed when U21 Faroe Islands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kristjan Eliasen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute, Rios Molleda made a precise shot to the right of Fríðrikur Castilho. U21 Faroe Islands's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. When Jákup Midjurd fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U21 Faroe Islands's protests and gave Jákup Midjurd a yellow card for diving instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Barros Moraina to strike the kick off in the second half. 50 minutes into the game, Bogi Jónsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U21 Faroe Islands's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Colombia the free kick. A collision led to U21 Faroe Islands getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Bogi Jónsson hit a great ball. Fríðrikur Castilho was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Orzaize Ascarretazabal. Fausto Guixe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jákup Midjurd in the 53rd minute of play. Fausto Guixe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bogi Jónsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. U21 Colombia's Fausto Guixe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jón G. Hansen in the 60th minute of play. Remigio Toraño could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Fríðrikur Castilho made a huge save. In the 65th match minute, U21 Faroe Islands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jón G. Hansen to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of U21 Colombia booed when U21 Faroe Islands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jón G. Hansen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jákup Midjurd took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fausto Guixe. Fausto Guixe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Xuoco Bardon kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. U21 Faroe Islands's Ronnie Danielsen was substituted for Bogi Jónsson. In the 81st match minute, U21 Colombia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xuoco Bardon to maneuver through the defense. In the 83rd minute, Bergur Hansen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, U21 Colombia's Orzaize Ascarretazabal tried to score from far away in the 84th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Jón G. Hansen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Guixe having to interfere. Fríðrikur Castilho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Barros Moraina in the 96th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. U21 Colombia had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
