Seating: 236, VIP seats: 20) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Vinícius Junior started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maximilian Borštner got free with Gerasimos Karastamatis in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. U21 Greece's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when Maximilian Borštner scored to the left of an out of position Gerasimos Karastamatis, making the score, 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in U21 Slovenia's zone, Vinícius Junior stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kostja Vertot came out of the goal and Vinícius Junior tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 15 minutes, Kleon Liaskovitis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the U21 Greece and the U21 Slovenia players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, U21 Greece's Kleon Liaskovitis got a free kick in the 15th minute. U21 Greece's Gerasimos Karastamatis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tarik Ožir in the 20th minute of play. After 21 minutes of play U21 Greece's Kleon Liaskovitis was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, U21 Greece's Kleon Liaskovitis got a free kick in the 21st minute. Kostja Vertot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vinícius Junior in the 25th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Timos Tsalavoutas managed to get in a good position for a shot. U21 Greece's supporters rose to their feet, but Timos Tsalavoutas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kostja Vertot breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With 30 minutes on the clock, Virgill van Dijk commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 30 minutes into the game, one of U21 Greece:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Maximilian Borštner stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximilian Borštner in the 54th minute of play forced U21 Greece's goalkeeper Gerasimos Karastamatis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 58 minutes into the match, U21 Greece's goal looked a bit too open when Maximilian Borštner came free, but Gerasimos Karastamatis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The U21 Greece fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gerasimos Karastamatis should have stopped the shot. After 73 played minutes U21 Slovenia got a freekick which was hit by Vital Lisjak. A collision led to U21 Greece getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Nikos Sterpis hit a great ball. Maximilian Borštner scored 4-0 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gerasimos Karastamatis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Branislav Venika fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U21 Slovenia's protests and gave Branislav Venika a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, U21 Slovenia's Branislav Venika got a free kick in the 84th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Timos Tsalavoutas during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Timos Tsalavoutas hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. After 92 minutes, Ožbalt Ajdič mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the U21 Slovenia and the U21 Greece players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 92nd minute, Ožbalt Ajdič hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. U21 Slovenia's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
