Seating: 236, VIP seats: 20) Denmark's Nik Frisendal started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lance Saville showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tor Dawson in the 4th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nik Frisendal in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lance Saville prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 6 minutes had been played when some careless play by Northern Ireland's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Lynge Gaardmand was slow to take the kick. During this time Denmark's players had a chance to rest. In the 12th minute, Nik Frisendal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lance Saville was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 19th minute, Marius Sneum made a precise shot to the right of Lance Saville. Northern Ireland's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Harald Makhauber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Denmark fans' excitement grew in the 21st match minute when Denmark's Nik Frisendal looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Rikard Hernø showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denzil Tanner in the 26th minute of the match. In the 27th minute, Nik Frisendal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Denmark fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Denmark's Rikard Hernø proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Denmark from getting a goal against them. Denmark's Harald Makhauber got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, Northern Ireland's goal looked a bit too open when Lynge Gaardmand came free, but Lance Saville reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lance Saville showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harald Makhauber, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 44 minutes into the game, Denmark's Lynge Gaardmand nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lance Saville made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Brian Bilton stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Northern Ireland getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Bryan McKinney hit a great ball. The supporters of Denmark booed when Northern Ireland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter Smith didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lance Saville came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Denmark's Harald Makhauber. But to his dismay, Harald Makhauber quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Lance Saville was out of position in the 62 minute of play, and Harald Makhauber capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Harald Makhauber really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. Lance Saville was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tor Dawson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-8 in the 65 minute of play. Denmark's Arthur Norgil was substituted for Oluf Lebro. In the 71st match minute, Northern Ireland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timothy Smart to maneuver through the defense. After 72 played minutes Northern Ireland got a freekick which was hit by Russ McCann. Karlo Frodendahl struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Lance Saville didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Denmark. Lance Saville took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nik Frisendal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Northern Ireland's Lance Saville got control of the ball when Nik Frisendal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Harald Makhauber's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Lance Saville firmly grabbed it by the left post. 83 minutes into the match, Frank Arnesen dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Lance Saville, 0-9. 86 minutes into the match, Northern Ireland's goal looked a bit too open when Marius Sneum came free, but Lance Saville reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Karlo Frodendahl took a quick shot and it went in 0-11 without a chance for Lance Saville to make any attempt to save it. The Northern Ireland fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Denmark were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
