In the 4thth minute of the game Albert Trueman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Belgium's Manuel Campens was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Andorra's Miguel Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Saad Šach in the 6th minute of play. Miguel Ramos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan-Simon Roukeloes, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Jan-Simon Roukeloes took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Miguel Ramos. Miguel Ramos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 18 minutes Belgium's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was David López who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Nicky Attenborough got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Manuel Campens quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 20th minute Jan-Simon Roukeloes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Ramos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sammy Dawes hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. When Belgium's Jan-Simon Roukeloes in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Andorra's goalie prevented a goal. In the 25th minute Liam Burley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Campens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dre Toeback's late challenge caught a Andorra's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dre Toeback helped the player get up and apologised. Andorra made a substitution. Larry Hallam replaced Albert Trueman. Dre Toeback kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Simon Roukeloes in the 34th minute of play forced Andorra's goalkeeper Miguel Ramos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 34 played minutes Belgium got a freekick which was hit by Jean-Louis Ouaddou. Larry Hallam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Andorra's Larry Hallam in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Belgium's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Saad Šach managed to get in a good position for a shot. Belgium's supporters rose to their feet, but Saad Šach was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miguel Ramos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half Belgium were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Jan-Simon Roukeloes was the one to do the kick off. Miguel Ramos made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Jan-Simon Roukeloes sent off a good shot on target. In the 57th minute Larry Hallam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Campens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 58 played minutes Andorra got a freekick which was hit by Sammy Dawes. After some careless play in the Andorra defense, Jan-Simon Roukeloes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Miguel Ramos. The Andorra fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Miguel Ramos should have stopped the shot. Miguel Ramos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan-Simon Roukeloes in the 70th minute of the match. Andorra's David López got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Miguel Ramos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan-Simon Roukeloes, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Manuel Campens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Larry Hallam in the 74th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the game, Jan-Simon Roukeloes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Miguel Ramos. Jan-Simon Roukeloes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Belgium's Armand De Jong was substituted for Jan-Simon Roukeloes. Belgium made a substitution. After having played for 90 minutes, Theo Musseeuw managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Belgium's supporters crossed their fingers, but Theo Musseeuw was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Andorra defense, Armand De Jong kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Miguel Ramos. The Andorra fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Miguel Ramos should have stopped the shot. 95 minutes into the match, Belgium's Armand De Jong sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Miguel Ramos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Belgium eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
