Breannain Byrne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Marceau in the 6th minute of play. Cheikh Ober got a throw-in 15 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Bruno Marceau. Breannain Byrne showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Marceau, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Bruno Marceau might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Breannain Byrne. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bruno Marceau ran back to his position shaking his head. 37 minutes into the match, Ireland's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Marceau came free, but Breannain Byrne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Marceau in the 46th minute of play forced Ireland's goalkeeper Breannain Byrne to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The wind increased when Darick Gillmour made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aymerick Nadal in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Breannain Byrne prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The corner ended in Vicent Kompany almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but France's Teddy Cotte did a great save. A collision led to France getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Cheikh Ober hit a great ball. In the 62nd match minute, France was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cheikh Ober to maneuver through the defense. In the 66th minute Aymerick Nadal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Breannain Byrne saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. France made a substitution. Gildas Da Costa replaced Cheikh Ober. After 70 played minutes France got a freekick which was hit by Cheikh Ober. Teddy Cotte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darick Gillmour in the 75th minute of play. In the 76th minute Ireland were awarded a corner. Vicent Kompany went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Ireland's corner Vicent Kompany fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Teddy Cotte quite easily take care of the ball. 81 minutes into the match, Ireland's goal looked a bit too open when Aymerick Nadal came free, but Breannain Byrne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. France's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Diego Farges in the 85th minute. Ireland's Breannain Byrne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aymerick Nadal in the 87th minute of play. The France fans' excitement grew in the 87th match minute when France's Aymerick Nadal looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Hugues Guillois made in the 91st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Diego Farges however managed to control. Bedilia McFrancise hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Breannain Byrne made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Karim Zouaoui sent off a good shot on target. Breannain Byrne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aymerick Nadal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The France players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
