The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ulrik Danielsson took the kick off in the first half of the match. 5 minutes into the match, Estonia's goal looked a bit too open when Ulrik Danielsson came free, but Mark Kikerpill reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Holger Hvidegaard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 9 minutes into the match, Estonia's goal looked a bit too open when Ulrik Danielsson came free, but Mark Kikerpill reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sweden's Sven-Ove Sandström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnold Erik in the 10th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Ulrik Danielsson put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Mark Kikerpill. If Ulrik Danielsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mark Kikerpill took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulrik Danielsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mark Kikerpill showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulrik Danielsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 23rd minute Sweden were awarded a corner. Jesse Lingard went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Holger Hvidegaard got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Mark Kikerpill quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Udo Alles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sven-Ove Sandström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Mark Kikerpill made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulrik Danielsson in the 28th minute of play. Sweden were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after Estonia's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jesse Lingard took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Holger Hvidegaard managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The throw-in from Enar Suviste in the 34th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Sweden's Benny Stolle. Mark Kikerpill showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulrik Danielsson in the 35th minute of the match. Mark Kikerpill showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Holger Hvidegaard, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 39th minute Ulrik Danielsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mark Kikerpill saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ulrik Danielsson scored 0-2 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mark Kikerpill, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Thanks to some nice moves Robert Haegg could shoot a difficult shot in the 64th minute, which Mark Kikerpill however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Udo Alles in the 71st minute of play forced Sweden's goalkeeper Sven-Ove Sandström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Estonia's goal looked a bit too open when Jesse Lingard came free, but Mark Kikerpill reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jesse Lingard received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mark Kikerpill came out and tried to block the shot, but Jesse Lingard slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 73rd minute. It was a well-played corner which Robert Haegg managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peeter Ruuda in the 80th minute of play forced Sweden's goalkeeper Sven-Ove Sandström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elmo Türk in the 95th minute of play forced Sweden's goalkeeper Sven-Ove Sandström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Sweden eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
