Panos Vakaloglou dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. With a little luck, Sweden's Sven-Ove Sandström got control of the ball when Panos Vakaloglou tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 22nd minute of the match Jesse Lingard sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Periklis Pipinakis skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Moura in the 24th minute of play forced Greece's goalkeeper Periklis Pipinakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sven-Ove Sandström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Panos Vakaloglou, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Greece's Periklis Pipinakis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Greece from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Babbis Farmakopoulos in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sven-Ove Sandström saved Sweden from getting behind. Gustav Lundblad's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 61stth minute, Periklis Pipinakis skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Periklis Pipinakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustav Lundblad in the 66th minute of the match. Greece made a substitution. Lakis Sarris replaced Babbis Farmakopoulos. Sweden made a substitution. Yngve Fastesson replaced Holger Hvidegaard. 75 minutes had been played when some careless play by Greece's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. In the 89th minute, Sweden's Ulrik Danielsson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. When Sweden's Ulrik Danielsson in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Greece's goalie prevented a goal. Jesse Lingard shot a long shot in the 97th minute and a light blocked Periklis Pipinakis hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 1-4.
