After a rather tough play, Indonesia's Entong Rondonuwu got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 25th minute, Moldova's Petrea Doroftei seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Petrea Doroftei the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Moldova protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Petrea Doroftei had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 24th minute of the game. One of Moldova:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Indonesia:s goal. George Gribincea had in the 26thth minute some difficulties stopping Marsilam Sangaji's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 26th minute, Marsilam Sangaji left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Indonesia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 30 minutes into the match, Indonesia's goalkeeper Adrian Lelono had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victor Streche. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eno Le Ray couldn't finish the play. Eno Le Ray scored 0-3 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of George Gribincea, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Adrian Lelono made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Victor Streche sent off a good shot on target. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
