Switzerland's Clinton Fiadone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petri Kinnaslampi in the 38th minute of play. A collision led to Switzerland getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Maurice Michael Tấn Dũng hit a great ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Baptiste Amlehn made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Switzerland's Conrad Eberhart got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 54th minute, Asko Puikkonen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Clinton Fiadone stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Petri Kinnaslampi's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. A nice corner shot did that Stephane Pfäffli got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Touko Kauppila quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Petri Kinnaslampi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Clinton Fiadone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maxime Moench in the 68th minute of play forced Finland's goalkeeper Touko Kauppila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 73 minutes, Kustavi Tuominen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Finland's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kustavi Tuominen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Finland's Jeremias Salomaa was substituted for Otso Vilmunen. Finland made a substitution. Osmo Hannus replaced Asko Puikkonen. Clinton Fiadone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kustavi Tuominen in the 78th minute of the match.
