The supporters of U21 Israel booed when U21 Slovenia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kazimir Guštin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Radislav Šmit made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dov Falk in the 6th minute of play. Adamson Wahrmann stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfons Širca's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. In the 9th minute of the match, Alfons Širca tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Adamson Wahrmann saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Alfons Širca did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Adamson Wahrmann 10 minutes into the match. Radislav Šmit took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vlad Berliner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alfons Širca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adamson Wahrmann having to interfere. Mirando Kiebacher's late challenge caught a U21 Israel's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mirando Kiebacher helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, U21 Slovenia's Mirando Kiebacher got a free kick in the 18th minute. Uri Lidney struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Radislav Šmit didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U21 Israel. Adamson Wahrmann made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Alfons Širca sent off a good shot on target. In the 41st minute, Dov Falk ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Radislav Šmit was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Radislav Šmit showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Uri Lidney, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dov Falk to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Dov Falk rounded U21 Slovenia's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-3. Uri Lidney could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Radislav Šmit made a huge save. After a rather tough play, U21 Slovenia's Todor Tršek got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 62nd minute Aleksander Blažević shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adamson Wahrmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bartley Barzel hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After 65 played minutes U21 Slovenia got a freekick which was hit by Todor Tršek. U21 Slovenia's Radislav Šmit played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dov Falk in the 67th minute of play. Ilai Ladany kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. U21 Israel's Abram Efgon was substituted for Dov Falk. Ilai Ladany hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute, U21 Israel's Uri Lidney dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. Abram Efgon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Radislav Šmit having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched U21 Israel eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
