Igor Evdokimov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wladyslaw Tyszka in the 44th minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andrzej Shevchenko was the one to do the kick off. U21 Poland's Jurand Rasiak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dmitriy Malakhov in the 52nd minute of play. 54 minutes into the game, Wawrzyniec Piechna lined in a short shot 1-2 behind a frustrated Igor Evdokimov. When the match clock showed 58 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Josep Guardiola sped through U21 Poland's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jurand Rasiak. Wawrzyniec Piechna blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Igor Evdokimov having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vadim Pavlov in the 65th minute of play forced U21 Poland's goalkeeper Jurand Rasiak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Igor Evdokimov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wawrzyniec Piechna, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute.
