Seating: 236, VIP seats: 20) Josep Guardiola made the kick off and thus started the match. If Dmitriy Malakhov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Igor Evdokimov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andrzej Shevchenko's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Boris Kasherininov managed to get in a good position for a shot. U21 Russia's supporters rose to their feet, but Boris Kasherininov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jurand Rasiak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mateusz Wieteska hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. U21 Poland's Jurand Rasiak proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save U21 Poland from getting a goal against them. Igor Evdokimov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wawrzyniec Piechna, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Igor Evdokimov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wawrzyniec Piechna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 17 minutes into the match, U21 Poland's goalkeeper Jurand Rasiak had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vladimir Suvorov. With an all-out effort, U21 Russia's Jurand Rasiak threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dmitriy Malakhov, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Jurand Rasiak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dmitriy Malakhov in the 31st minute of play. 33 minutes into the game, Vadim Pavlov recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jurand Rasiak. Vadim Pavlov showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Josep Guardiola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Jurand Rasiak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, U21 Poland's goal looked a bit too open when Josep Guardiola came free, but Jurand Rasiak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Igor Evdokimov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wladyslaw Tyszka in the 44th minute of play.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andrzej Shevchenko was the one to do the kick off. U21 Poland's Jurand Rasiak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dmitriy Malakhov in the 52nd minute of play. 54 minutes into the game, Wawrzyniec Piechna lined in a short shot 1-2 behind a frustrated Igor Evdokimov. When the match clock showed 58 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Josep Guardiola sped through U21 Poland's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jurand Rasiak. Wawrzyniec Piechna blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Igor Evdokimov having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vadim Pavlov in the 65th minute of play forced U21 Poland's goalkeeper Jurand Rasiak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Igor Evdokimov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wawrzyniec Piechna, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After a rather tough play, U21 Poland's Arkadiusz Piwowarski got a free kick in the 69th minute. U21 Russia made a substitution. Klim Amalitskiy replaced Boris Kasherininov. Jurand Rasiak didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Evgeniy Aborenkov went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. U21 Poland's Beniamin Absolwent was substituted for Wawrzyniec Piechna. U21 Poland's Teobald Prus was substituted for Wladyslaw Tyszka. In the 81st match minute, U21 Poland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ksamabhuj Zuya to maneuver through the defense. Mikhail Mishin hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Jurand Rasiak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evgeniy Aborenkov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 94 played minutes U21 Russia got a freekick which was hit by Vladimir Suvorov. U21 Russia were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of U21 Poland for a fine match.
