With a little luck, U21 England's Cody Bennet got control of the ball when Tom Boander tried to sneak it across the goal line. U21 Denmark were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after U21 England's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tom Boander took the corner. Marcus Styring came free with the goalkeeper in the 40th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cody Bennet could save by the left post. Cody Bennet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ture Galal, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After 43 played minutes U21 Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Walther Valore. In the 44th minute, Basil Riley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Allan Fitzgerald was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Sigurt Langner managed to get in a good position for a shot. The supporters of U21 Denmark booed when U21 England was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Glyn Cornish didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bjarke Wædegaard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Allan Fitzgerald in the 82nd minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, U21 England's goal looked a bit too open when Sigurt Langner came free, but Cody Bennet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Allan Fitzgerald in the 86th minute of play forced U21 Denmark's goalkeeper Bjarke Wædegaard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cody Bennet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sigurt Langner in the 90th minute of play. U21 England were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing U21 Denmark to leave the ground with a draw.
