Seating: 236, VIP seats: 20) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Meurig Heany got the match started through his kick off. Culhwch Hakes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simeon Gatchis, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. With a little luck, Cyprus's Aias Vlahos got control of the ball when Pembroke Kerrin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aias Vlahos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Meurig Heany, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aias Vlahos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Meurig Heany in the 11th minute. Simeon Gatchis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Culhwch Hakes having to interfere. Aias Vlahos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Meurig Heany in the 16th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Epeios Banos in the 17th minute of play forced Wales's goalkeeper Culhwch Hakes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Epeios Banos kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. A hard shot 23 in the game by Pembroke Kerrin from a close distance when the talented Aias Vlahos managed to make a qualified save. Cyprus's players were relieved. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sofoklis Panoulias during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 25 played minutes Cyprus got a freekick which was hit by Sofoklis Panoulias. In the 31st match minute, Cyprus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Simeon Gatchis to maneuver through the defense. Meurig Heany's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Aias Vlahos skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 38 minutes Cyprus's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gwevyl Herren who took care of the corner kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Simeon Gatchis to make the kick off. In the 50th minute, Bedyw Ackroyd hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aias Vlahos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pembroke Kerrin, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Aias Vlahos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Meurig Heany in the 55th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Bedyw Ackroyd hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wales's Tom Cepa was substituted for Pembroke Kerrin. In the 72nd minute Epeios Banos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Culhwch Hakes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Culhwch Hakes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Epeios Banos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Meurig Heany kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Aias Vlahos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tom Cepa's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Siam Guthrie hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Cyprus played a much better game than Wales and deserved their victory. The Wales players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
