In the 72nd minute, Peadar Kelly got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Johannes Westelinx could shoot a difficult shot in the 79th minute, which Teddy Sheridan however easily saved by the left post. Peadar Kelly received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Sergio Van Houtvin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle went the supporters of Belgium were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Ireland side.
