Seating: 5469, VIP seats: 473) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Liberto Asendegui started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, U21 Chile's Liberto Asendegui sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Evaristo Neves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doriva Sousa in the 5th minute of play forced U21 Chile's goalkeeper Enrique Enoch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emilio Felipe Palmer during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to U21 Chile getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Emilio Felipe Palmer hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Doriva Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot. U21 Brazil's supporters rose to their feet, but Doriva Sousa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enrique Enoch breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Virgil Dijk hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Enrique Enoch didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Doriva Sousa went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Evaristo Neves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Liberto Asendegui, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16thth minute of the game Liberto Asendegui who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Brazil's Evaristo Neves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Doriva Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot. U21 Brazil's supporters rose to their feet, but Doriva Sousa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enrique Enoch breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, U21 Chile's Enrique Enoch got control of the ball when Pedro Osmund tried to sneak it across the goal line. Evaristo Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Liberto Asendegui, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Evaristo Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guille Aravena in the 37th minute of the match. U21 Brazil's Evaristo Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guille Aravena in the 38th minute of play. The supporters of U21 Brazil booed when U21 Chile was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Arias didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
U21 Chile's Ofelio Galván was substituted for Liberto Asendegui. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luís Gustavo de Amaral to make the kick off. Anísio Matos kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. U21 Chile's Enrique Enoch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Gustavo de Amaral in the 55th minute of play. After some careless play in the U21 Chile defense, Luís Gustavo de Amaral kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Enrique Enoch. The U21 Chile fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Enrique Enoch should have stopped the shot. Evaristo Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduard Zárate in the 73rd minute of play. Evaristo Neves made an important save on a dangerous shot by Samuel Abel in the 74th minute. 79 minutes into the match, U21 Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Gustavo de Amaral came free, but Enrique Enoch reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. U21 Brazil's Evaristo Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduard Zárate in the 81st minute of play. The supporters of U21 Chile booed when U21 Brazil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xande Campbell didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Gustavo de Amaral in the 88th minute of play forced U21 Chile's goalkeeper Enrique Enoch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 89 minutes into the match, U21 Brazil's goalkeeper Evaristo Neves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yerko Smart. A collision led to U21 Brazil getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Amadeu do Nascimento hit a great ball.
U21 Brazil's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
