Seating: 236, VIP seats: 20) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Faraz samsami kicked off to start the match. Germán Burgos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Faraz samsami in the 3rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Gasteiz Latorre managed to get in a good position for a shot. U21 Uruguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Gasteiz Latorre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hooshang Haghighi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 9 minutes into the game, U21 Uruguay's Gasteiz Latorre nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hooshang Haghighi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Hooshang Haghighi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gasteiz Latorre, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. The supporters of U21 Uruguay booed when U21 Iran was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Saeed Narimani didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gasteiz Latorre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hooshang Haghighi having to interfere. U21 Uruguay's Gasteiz Latorre suffered a concussion in the 28th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. U21 Uruguay's Orland Balda was substituted for Gasteiz Latorre. In the 27th minute, one of U21 Iran:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for U21 Iran. Hooshang Haghighi had in the 30thth minute some difficulties stopping Fiz Biembengén's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 30 minutes into the game, Fiz Biembengén cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Hooshang Haghighi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to U21 Uruguay getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Piearres Olalla hit a great ball. Hooshang Haghighi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orland Balda in the 35th minute of play. 36 minutes had been played when some careless play by U21 Iran's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fiz Biembengén was slow to take the kick. During this time U21 Uruguay's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Fiz Biembengén almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but U21 Iran's Hooshang Haghighi did a great save. Piearres Olalla took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hooshang Haghighi. Hooshang Haghighi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. The crowd rose to their feet as U21 Iran's Younes Ghomi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Germán Burgos. That made the score 1-3 after 41 minutes of play. In the 44th minute, Piearres Olalla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U21 Uruguay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Piearres Olalla to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, U21 Iran's goalkeeper Hooshang Haghighi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Orland Balda. Hooshang Haghighi made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Orland Balda sent off a good shot on target. In the 63rd minute of the match, Orland Balda got a very nice opportunity to score, but Hooshang Haghighi was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Hooshang Haghighi didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 65th minute, which inside left pole to 1-5. U21 Uruguay's Alberto Acosta was substituted for Idacio Vuelvetoros. Germán Burgos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faraz samsami in the 68th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the game, Abelardo Jordana was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U21 Uruguay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Iran the free kick. In the 69th match minute, U21 Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abelardo Jordana to maneuver through the defense. After 74 minutes U21 Iran's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fiz Biembengén who took care of the corner kick. Orland Balda had several of the U21 Iran's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 80 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-6 score and a disappointed Hooshang Haghighi as he didn't even see the shot coming. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Orland Balda in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hooshang Haghighi saved U21 Iran from getting behind. In the 89th match minute, U21 Iran was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shahyar Rahimi to maneuver through the defense. 95 minutes into the match, U21 Iran's goal looked a bit too open when Orland Balda came free, but Hooshang Haghighi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
