Vincenc Ehrenberger was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 43 played minutes U21 Czech Republic got a freekick which was hit by Vladimír Plašil. Fabrizio Spadoni recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Jaroslav Ševčík fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U21 Czech Republic's protests and gave Jaroslav Ševčík a yellow card for diving instead. U21 Czech Republic's Jan Studnička was substituted for Vladimír Plašil. In the 48th minute, Jaroslav Ševčík hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabrizio Spadoni took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 49th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vincenc Ehrenberger. U21 Czech Republic's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Robert Šedina made a kick off. Alvise Scudieri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vincenc Ehrenberger having to interfere. After 61st play minutes Robert Šedina shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Armando Salemme and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 66th minute Robert Šedina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Salemme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ervín Mlčák hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. U21 Czech Republic's František Stuchlý was substituted for Ladislav Trtík. U21 Czech Republic made a substitution. The U21 Czech Republic fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Armando Salemme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robert Šedina, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Thanks to some nice moves Alvise Di Crescenzo could shoot a difficult shot in the 83rd minute, which Vincenc Ehrenberger however easily saved by the left post. After 85 minutes U21 Czech Republic's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Pol Petton who took care of the corner kick. The corner led U21 Italy's Pol Petton to fire away a dangerous shot which Vincenc Ehrenberger despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 88th minute of the game, Jan Studnička landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Fabrizio Spadoni's late challenge caught a U21 Czech Republic's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabrizio Spadoni helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, U21 Italy's Fabrizio Spadoni got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 95th minute Antonín Orlík shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Salemme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
