Seating: 236, VIP seats: 20) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ciro Aquino kicked off to start the match. Conrado Serna came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Brazil's João Félix. But to his dismay, João Félix quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Conrado Serna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Félix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ricardinho Taffarel made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Walter Bazán sent off a good shot on target. After 13 minutes Brazil's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ciro Aquino who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Ciro Aquino got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ricardinho Taffarel quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The Brazil fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Brazil's João Félix looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Dominican Republic's Conrado Serna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adhemar Santos in the 23rd minute of play. Ciro Aquino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Ricardinho Taffarel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ciro Aquino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes into the match, Adhemar Santos notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Dominican Republic's Conrado Serna. Conrado Serna was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 30 minutes into the match, Agostinho Rodrigues had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Conrado Serna. Dominican Republic's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Agostinho Rodrigues was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. After a rather tough play, Dominican Republic's Chus Avilés got a free kick in the 35th minute. Dominican Republic's Conrado Serna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adhemar Santos in the 36th minute of play. When Brazil's Adhemar Santos in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Dominican Republic's goalie prevented a goal. Brazil's Ricardinho Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Mosquera in the 41st minute of play. Conrado Serna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adhemar Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adhemar Santos in the 45th minute of play forced Dominican Republic's goalkeeper Conrado Serna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Brazil's goalkeeper Ricardinho Taffarel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Walter Bazán. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Dominican Republic made a substitution. Wilkin Gómez replaced Winston Méndez. Dominican Republic's Gregorio Vigil was substituted for Ciro Aquino. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell João Félix to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute João Félix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conrado Serna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Dominican Republic's Conrado Serna got control of the ball when Basílio Carvalho tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Adhemar Santos took a quick shot and it went in 0-6 without a chance for Conrado Serna to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicolas Vargas got free with Conrado Serna in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 59 minutes into the game, Brazil's Adhemar Santos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Conrado Serna made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. Brazil made a substitution. Guilherme Damião replaced Adhemar Santos. Conrado Serna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guilherme Damião in the 64th minute of play. Guilherme Damião scored 0-8 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Conrado Serna, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 72nd match minute, Dominican Republic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ángel Albornoz to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guilherme Damião in the 78th minute of play forced Dominican Republic's goalkeeper Conrado Serna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dominican Republic's Conrado Serna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Dominican Republic from getting a goal against them. In the 81st minute Guilherme Damião shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conrado Serna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Conrado Serna stood somewhat misplaced when Guilherme Damião came free in front of goal and shot 0-9 to the left of him in the 82 minute. Conrado Serna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guilherme Damião, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Conrado Serna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guilherme Damião in the 87th minute of the match. The supporters of Dominican Republic booed when Brazil was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ana Cristina didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dominican Republic's Conrado Serna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guilherme Damião in the 89th minute of play. When Agostinho Rodrigues fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brazil's protests and gave Agostinho Rodrigues a yellow card for diving instead. In the 92nd match minute, Brazil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agostinho Rodrigues to maneuver through the defense. Brazil's Ricardinho Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Mosquera in the 93rd minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Nicolas Vargas notched a goal, 0-10, to the right of Dominican Republic's Conrado Serna. Conrado Serna was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Conrado Serna made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Guilherme Damião sent off a good shot on target. Brazil's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
