Spectators: 15921 (Terracing: 10000, Seating: 5448, VIP seats: 473) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Austin Eve kicked off to start the match. Permanand Fry came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Greece's Zinon Chatziioannou. But to his dismay, Zinon Chatziioannou quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. With a little luck, Greece's Periklis Pipinakis got control of the ball when Austin Eve tried to sneak it across the goal line. Greece's Zinon Moustogiannis managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Denzil Persad-Bissessar in the 13 minute of the game. Permanand Fry took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zinon Chatziioannou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 20 minutes into the match, Trinidad & Tobago's goal looked a bit too open when Michalis Giannatos came free, but Permanand Fry reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Permanand Fry showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michalis Giannatos in the 20th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Greece's goalkeeper Periklis Pipinakis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Austin Eve. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zinon Chatziioannou in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Permanand Fry saved Trinidad & Tobago from getting behind. Austin Eve could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Periklis Pipinakis made a huge save. Zinon Chatziioannou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Permanand Fry tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Michalis Giannatos in the 29th minute of play forced Trinidad & Tobago's goalkeeper Permanand Fry to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Zinon Chatziioannou's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Permanand Fry was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. In the 43rd match minute, Greece was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alketas Prezerakos to maneuver through the defense. Periklis Pipinakis was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Gregory Peru. 45 minutes into the game, Matthew Samuel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Trinidad & Tobago's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Greece the free kick. The supporters of Greece booed when Trinidad & Tobago was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matthew Samuel didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Greece made a substitution. Stefanos Rigopoulos replaced Valerios Kalogeridis. Greece's Aggelos Troglis was substituted for Nikos Pourliotopoulos. Periklis Pipinakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dansam Gift, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 69th minute Evaggelos Grigorakos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Permanand Fry saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by Trinidad & Tobago's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Panos Vakaloglou was slow to take the kick. During this time Greece's players had a chance to rest. After 78th play minutes Evaggelos Grigorakos shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Permanand Fry and just under the crossbar into goal. 82 minutes had been played when some careless play by Trinidad & Tobago's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Panos Vakaloglou was slow to take the kick. During this time Greece's players had a chance to rest. After 85 played minutes Trinidad & Tobago got a freekick which was hit by Denzil Persad-Bissessar. The audience was convinced that Evaggelos Grigorakos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Permanand Fry was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. Greece played a much better game than Trinidad & Tobago and deserved their victory. The Trinidad & Tobago players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
