Seating: 236, VIP seats: 20) Finland's Timo Nummelin started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Barış Altunışık ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sakari Hietaharju was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Finland's goalkeeper Sakari Hietaharju, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sakari Hietaharju didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Barış Altunışık went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Aatto Luusua made in the 12th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Pekko Koivisto immediately put the ball in play. Sakari Hietaharju came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Turkey's Gökmen Okdağ. But to his dismay, Gökmen Okdağ quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. 18 minutes into the match, Turkey's Zeynel Zeyni sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sakari Hietaharju narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the Finland defense, Barış Altunışık kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sakari Hietaharju. The Finland fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sakari Hietaharju should have stopped the shot. Barış Altunışık struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Sakari Hietaharju didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Turkey. The audience thought a goal was coming when Auno Karvinen got free with Vahap Hicran in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 36th minute Petri Kinnaslampi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vahap Hicran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Finland's goalie and right to Sümer Açar. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Finland's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 46 minutes in the game Pekko Koivisto did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Petri Kinnaslampi. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Barış Altunışık to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Turkey's Barış Altunışık sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sakari Hietaharju narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 55 minutes into the match, Turkey's goal looked a bit too open when Timo Nummelin came free, but Vahap Hicran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sakari Hietaharju showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barış Altunışık in the 57th minute of the match. Sakari Hietaharju showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barış Altunışık, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Sakari Hietaharju made an important save on a dangerous shot by Barış Altunışık in the 59th minute. Vahap Hicran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petri Kinnaslampi in the 62nd minute of play. Finland's Sakari Hietaharju played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barış Altunışık in the 66th minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Barış Altunışık left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Turkey fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. Turkey's Hüsmen Acaroğlu was substituted for Barış Altunışık. Turkey made a substitution. Akay Özerman replaced Gökmen Okdağ. Pekko Koivisto hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. When Turkey's Hüsmen Acaroğlu in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Finland's goalie prevented a goal. Vahap Hicran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timo Nummelin, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. When Hüsmen Acaroğlu came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Turkey fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hüsmen Acaroğlu couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petri Kinnaslampi in the 87th minute of play forced Turkey's goalkeeper Vahap Hicran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Finland's goalkeeper Sakari Hietaharju had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hüsmen Acaroğlu. If Akay Özerman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Otso Vilmunen in the 93rd minute of play forced Turkey's goalkeeper Vahap Hicran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Turkey's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
