After a defensive mix-up in Azerbaijan's zone, Meelis Mihklisaar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Müslüm Yolçiyev came out of the goal and Meelis Mihklisaar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Müslüm Yolçiyev managed to avoid a goal in the 69thth minute, when Estonia's Meelis Mihklisaar fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Müslüm Yolçiyev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mait Kansi in the 75th minute of the match. Bruno Koop came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Azerbaijan's Cabbar Adigözälov. But to his dismay, Cabbar Adigözälov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. After 80 minutes Azerbaijan's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mait Kansi who took care of the corner kick. Bruno Koop showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bäşir Äzimbäyli, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Müslüm Yolçiyev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mait Kansi in the 90th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jass Allika got free with Müslüm Yolçiyev in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jass Allika kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. Estonia's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
