Gonchan Bien was slow to take the kick. During this time U21 Colombia's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of U21 Lithuania's goalie and right to Atauri Dragranda. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. U21 Lithuania's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After a rather tough play, U21 Lithuania's Adomas Rusteikis got a free kick in the 16th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Atauri Dragranda in the 21st minute of play forced U21 Lithuania's goalkeeper Donatas Simutis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pirmin Lizaso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jotautas Pakula, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. U21 Colombia's Pirmin Lizaso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jotautas Pakula in the 24th minute of play. Donatas Simutis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Virgo Van Dijk in the 29th minute. Donatas Simutis made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Oliver Atom sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beržas Stasaitis in the 34th minute of play forced U21 Colombia's goalkeeper Pirmin Lizaso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

A collision led to U21 Colombia getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Etor Barja hit a great ball. Virgo Van Dijk hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. A collision led to U21 Lithuania getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Klemensas Dagilis hit a great ball. In the 65th minute of the match Etor Barja sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Donatas Simutis skillfully saved the ball. In the 67th minute Beržas Stasaitis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pirmin Lizaso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 69 played minutes U21 Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Virgo Van Dijk. U21 Lithuania's Aidas Krasauskas was substituted for Beržas Stasaitis. U21 Lithuania made a substitution. Benas Damašius replaced Kristijonas Gečas. Aidas Krasauskas's late challenge caught a U21 Colombia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aidas Krasauskas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 76th minute, Aidas Krasauskas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 76 minutes, Oliver Atom managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U21 Colombia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oliver Atom was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 80th minute Aidas Krasauskas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pirmin Lizaso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aidas Krasauskass short, quick shot in the 84thth minute got Pirmin Lizaso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 85 minutes had been played when some careless play by U21 Colombia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Adomas Rusteikis was slow to take the kick. During this time U21 Lithuania's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Adomas Rusteikis got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Pirmin Lizaso quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jotautas Pakula fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pirmin Lizaso having to interfere. In the 96th minute Vygandas Dargenis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pirmin Lizaso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. U21 Lithuania's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
