Stratos Bosinakos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tom Aspelund in the 11th minute of the match. Stratos Bosinakos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Best Kid, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Best Kid in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stratos Bosinakos saved U21 Greece from getting behind. If Best Kid had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. U21 Greece's Theagenis Ballas managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Billy Elliott in the 24 minute of the game. After 26 played minutes U21 Greece got a freekick which was hit by Prodromos Satrapis. If Tom Aspelund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 31 played minutes U21 Norway got a freekick which was hit by Steinar Skare. Stratos Bosinakos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Best Kid, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Prodromos Satrapis struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Rune Ranum didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U21 Greece.

55 minutes had been played when some careless play by U21 Greece's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Best Kid was slow to take the kick. During this time U21 Norway's players had a chance to rest. U21 Norway's Best Kid was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Stratos Bosinakos in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 61 minutes into the match, U21 Greece's goal looked a bit too open when Birger Rustand came free, but Stratos Bosinakos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stratos Bosinakos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Best Kid in the 67th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Birger Rustand got free with Stratos Bosinakos in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Birger Rustand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Stratos Bosinakos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. U21 Norway made a substitution. Ruben Juell replaced Hans-Erik Hannisdal. U21 Norway's Jan-Ivar Bringedal was substituted for Steinar Skare. 91 minutes into the match, U21 Greece's Vaios Tzalakostas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rune Ranum narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 94th match minute, U21 Greece was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kosmas Banasopoulos to maneuver through the defense. U21 Norway's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
