Seating: 236, VIP seats: 20) Alfredo Jimenez started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 3 minutes into the game, Vitório Trevisan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Victorino Valenzuela was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Victorino Valenzuela came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Brazil's Simão Urbano. But to his dismay, Simão Urbano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vitório Trevisan in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Victorino Valenzuela saved U21 Honduras from getting behind. In the 32nd minute Simão Urbano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victorino Valenzuela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute of the match U21 Brazil got a corner. U21 Honduras's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Caetano Costa ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 35th minute Felipe Canto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victorino Valenzuela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Caetano Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Victorino Valenzuela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Simão Urbano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 46 minutes into the match, U21 Brazil's Vitório Trevisan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Victorino Valenzuela narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 48 minutes into the match, U21 Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Canto came free, but Victorino Valenzuela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vitório Trevisan was the one to do the kick off. Elias Villatoro kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. After 54 minutes, Odir Ulloa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the U21 Honduras and the U21 Brazil players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, U21 Honduras's Odir Ulloa got a free kick in the 54th minute. Victorino Valenzuela made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Caetano Costa sent off a good shot on target. 60 minutes into the match, U21 Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Vitório Trevisan came free, but Victorino Valenzuela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Victorino Valenzuela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giovani Paulista in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 65th match minute, U21 Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Machado to maneuver through the defense. U21 Brazil's Cipriano Lara was substituted for Felipe Canto. U21 Brazil made a substitution. Willian Queraria replaced Simão Urbano. In the 66th match minute, U21 Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Machado to maneuver through the defense. After 69th play minutes Tiago Bampi shot 0-5, a short shot which went by Victorino Valenzuela and just under the crossbar into goal. Victorino Valenzuela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiago Bampi, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Rafael Machado kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Victorino Valenzuela made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Caetano Costa sent off a good shot on target. In the 76th match minute, U21 Honduras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Magaña to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Angel Molina during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Angel Molina hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. U21 Honduras's Felipe Guerrero was substituted for Alfredo Jimenez. The supporters of U21 Brazil booed when U21 Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angel Molina didn't get a good kick on the ball. 80 minutes into the match, U21 Honduras's goalkeeper Victorino Valenzuela had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tiago Bampi. Willian Queraria took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Victorino Valenzuela. Victorino Valenzuela dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tiago Bampi in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Victorino Valenzuela saved U21 Honduras from getting behind. Victorino Valenzuela was out of position in the 91 minute of play, and Willian Queraria capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Willian Queraria really showed his touch with that goal: 0-7. After a rather tough play, U21 Brazil's Amanda Pintos got a free kick in the 93rd minute. 95 minutes into the game, U21 Brazil's Willian Queraria nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Victorino Valenzuela made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-8. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched U21 Brazil eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
