Seating: 236, VIP seats: 20) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Mikael Camacho got the match started through his kick off. Agha Sutantar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mikael Camacho in the 3rd minute of play. In the 5th match minute, U21 India was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samant Sharma to maneuver through the defense. Federico Sanabria charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Federico Sanabria the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 14th match minute, U21 Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Federico Sanabria to maneuver through the defense. Hernan Alvarado was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Kuntaka Bhachu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 22 minute of play. Arjun Raj sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Agha Sutantar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mikael Camacho in the 32nd minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Mikael Camacho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U21 Costa Rica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 35th match minute, U21 Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Solis to maneuver through the defense. Kuntaka Bhachu struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Hernan Alvarado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U21 India. Thanks to some nice moves Gausra Srivastava could shoot a difficult shot in the 38th minute, which Hernan Alvarado however easily saved by the left post. A collision led to U21 Costa Rica getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Heriberto Figueres hit a great ball. In the 48thth minute of the game Mikael Camacho who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 India's Agha Sutantar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
Hernan Alvarado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Divyaprabhava Pujari, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arjun Raj scored 2-1 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hernan Alvarado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 63 played minutes U21 Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Solis. U21 Costa Rica's Braulio Madrigal was substituted for Federico Sanabria. Hernan Alvarado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kuntaka Bhachu in the 65th minute of play. U21 India's Agha Sutantar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernie Oviedo in the 71st minute of play. Braulio Madrigal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Agha Sutantar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of U21 India booed when U21 Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heriberto Figueres didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernie Oviedo did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-2 to the left of a surprised Agha Sutantar 77 minutes into the match. In the 80th minute Angel Fallas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agha Sutantar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Bernie Oviedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in U21 India fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 84th minute. Penalty! After 85 minutes, Ahuka Sull mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the U21 India and the U21 Costa Rica players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 86th minute, Ahuka Sull hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hernan Alvarado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arjun Raj in the 87th minute of the match. If Angel Fallas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A sloppy throw-in by Aranatha Deshpande in the 92nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by U21 Costa Rica's Jorge Solis. Agha Sutantar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernie Oviedo in the 93rd minute of play. In the 95th minute Gausra Srivastava shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hernan Alvarado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Divyaprabhava Pujari received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Hernan Alvarado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
