U21 Lebanon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jamal Qudamah was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gilberto Liborio got free with Hamzah Abdul Majid in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. U21 Lebanon's Mostafa Al Tayyib pulled a muscle in his leg after 24 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 25th match minute, U21 El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilberto Liborio to maneuver through the defense. Nouh Basim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christian García read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. The referee ignored U21 Lebanon's protests and gave Salim Omar a yellow card for diving instead. After 64 played minutes U21 Lebanon got a freekick which was hit by Salim Omar. After 65 minutes of play, U21 El Salvador's Gilberto Liborio made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hamzah Abdul Majid was left in no man's land by his defense there! U21 Lebanon's Hamzah Abdul Majid played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pablo Ribeiro in the 69th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pablo Ribeiro in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hamzah Abdul Majid saved U21 Lebanon from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in U21 El Salvador's zone, Salah el Din Haddad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christian García came out of the goal and Salah el Din Haddad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 81 minutes into the match, U21 El Salvador's goalkeeper Christian García had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Salah el Din Haddad. Christian García made an important save on a dangerous shot by Salah el Din Haddad in the 81st minute. After 82 minutes of play U21 Lebanon's Salim Omar was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Salim Omar hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. The corner led U21 El Salvador's Mohamed Salvador to fire away a dangerous shot which Hamzah Abdul Majid despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Pablo Ribeiro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hamzah Abdul Majid read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Hamzah Abdul Majid took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pablo Ribeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute Gilberto Liborio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamzah Abdul Majid saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 93 played minutes U21 Lebanon got a freekick which was hit by Aatif Wahbi. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. U21 El Salvador had won after a very even match.
