Seating: 236, VIP seats: 20) U21 Trinidad & Tobago's Ravi Robinson started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Russell Ward Redman made a precise shot to the right of Pedro José Sierra. U21 Chile's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. When Arthur Napoleon Nobel fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U21 Trinidad & Tobago's protests and gave Arthur Napoleon Nobel a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of U21 Chile booed when U21 Trinidad & Tobago was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arthur Napoleon Nobel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alberto Estrada in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dave Jaggernauth prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dave Jaggernauth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Bowie in the 14th minute of the match. U21 Trinidad & Tobago's Arthur Napoleon Nobel got his second yellow card of the match in the 17th minute. The referee ordered Arthur Napoleon Nobel off the ground. A collision led to U21 Trinidad & Tobago getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Arthur Napoleon Nobel hit a great ball. Jacob Doig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro José Sierra having to interfere. When Alberto Estrada came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the U21 Chile fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Estrada couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felipe Anush in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dave Jaggernauth saved U21 Trinidad & Tobago from getting behind. 27 minutes into the match, U21 Chile's Alberto Estrada sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dave Jaggernauth narrowly saved just below the crossbar. U21 Chile were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after U21 Trinidad & Tobago's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fabricio Martinic took the corner. The corner led U21 Chile's Fabricio Martinic to fire away a dangerous shot which Dave Jaggernauth despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felipe Anush in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dave Jaggernauth saved U21 Trinidad & Tobago from getting behind. 31 minutes into the match, U21 Trinidad & Tobago's Jacob Doig sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro José Sierra narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dave Jaggernauth stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alberto Estrada's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Dave Jaggernauth didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alberto Estrada went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Alberto Estrada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute, Alberto Estrada made a precise shot to the right of Dave Jaggernauth. U21 Trinidad & Tobago's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. The U21 Trinidad & Tobago players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. U21 Chile were winning 1-4.
Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felipe Anush in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. In the 58th minute, Natalio Ordoñez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alberto Estrada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in U21 Trinidad & Tobago's zone, Alberto Estrada stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dave Jaggernauth came out of the goal and Alberto Estrada tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. U21 Chile made a substitution. Lester Pais replaced Alberto Estrada. U21 Chile's Albino Echavarría was substituted for Mario Arechavala. In the 69th minute of the match U21 Chile got a corner. U21 Trinidad & Tobago's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fabricio Martinic ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led U21 Chile's Fabricio Martinic to fire away a dangerous shot which Dave Jaggernauth despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Lester Pais scored 1-6 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dave Jaggernauth, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lester Pais in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dave Jaggernauth saved U21 Trinidad & Tobago from getting behind. A collision led to U21 Chile getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Albino Echavarría hit a great ball. After 88 minutes, Jacob Doig mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the U21 Trinidad & Tobago and the U21 Chile players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 93rd minute, Lester Pais reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dave Jaggernauth. The goal made the score 1-7. The U21 Chile players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
