In the 22ndth minute of the game Duncan Callaghan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 MZ Country's Mouloud Doutté was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jessop Turnor's late challenge caught a U21 MZ Country's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jessop Turnor helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, U21 Australia's Jessop Turnor got a free kick in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nick Benson in the 32nd minute of play forced U21 MZ Country's goalkeeper Mouloud Doutté to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over U21 Australia could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than U21 MZ Country throughout the match.
