The nice shot from Róbert Pécsi in the 19thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Korey Richards had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. In the 19th minute, Gergely Herczegh reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Korey Richards. The goal made the score 1-0. Hungary's Örs Gerencsér played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tin Tin in the 22nd minute of play. Örs Gerencsér took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tin Tin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hungary's Tibor Vincze was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 25th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Tibor Vincze came free with the goalkeeper in the 38th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Korey Richards could save by the left post. After 41 played minutes Hungary got a freekick which was hit by Gergely Herczegh. 43 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Taylor Hebert came free, but Örs Gerencsér reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 45 minutes into the game, Hungary's Gergely Herczegh nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Korey Richards made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Örs Gerencsér showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis Kinsey in the 47th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dennis Kinsey made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Tibor Vincze came free, but Korey Richards reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jay Zepeda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Örs Gerencsér made a huge save. Joseph Hayes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Örs Gerencsér made a huge save. USA's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
