Kundam Gandhi helped the player get up and apologised. Bandana Mitra charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bandana Mitra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tony Tinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natarajan Chahil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. U21 Trinidad & Tobago's Tony Tinto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save U21 Trinidad & Tobago from getting a goal against them. Gunamaya Lachenpa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrick Brown, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind U21 Trinidad & Tobago's goalkeeper Tony Tinto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dev Kulkarni got free with Tony Tinto in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tony Tinto was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Atasa Heer showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 35 minute of play. 42 minutes into the match, U21 Trinidad & Tobago's goal looked a bit too open when Atasa Heer came free, but Tony Tinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gunamaya Lachenpa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrick Brown in the 44th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Tony Tinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Atasa Heer, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. 52 minutes into the game, one of U21 Trinidad & Tobago:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Natarajan Chahil took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tony Tinto. Tony Tinto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 58 minutes into the game, Ilanko Krishnamurthy cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Tony Tinto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, U21 Trinidad & Tobago's Basdeo Le Gendre got a free kick in the 63rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in U21 Trinidad & Tobago's zone, Bandana Mitra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tony Tinto came out of the goal and Bandana Mitra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Atasa Heer might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tony Tinto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Atasa Heer ran back to his position shaking his head. U21 India's Varinderjeet Dwivedi was substituted for Atasa Heer. 68 minutes into the match, Varinderjeet Dwivedi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tony Tinto. U21 Trinidad & Tobago's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Varinderjeet Dwivedi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. 71 minutes into the match, U21 Trinidad & Tobago's goal looked a bit too open when Varinderjeet Dwivedi came free, but Tony Tinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 71 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Varinderjeet Dwivedi sped through U21 Trinidad & Tobago's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tony Tinto. A collision led to U21 India getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Ilanko Krishnamurthy hit a great ball. After 78 minutes, Varinderjeet Dwivedi made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. U21 Trinidad & Tobago's Tony Tinto tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. U21 Trinidad & Tobago made a substitution. Dole Botus replaced Basdeo Le Gendre. In the 94th minute, Natarajan Chahil left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The U21 India fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. The U21 India fans' excitement grew in the 98th match minute when U21 India's Varinderjeet Dwivedi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 8-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. U21 India's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
