Sallam Yousif was a little too slow when Dries Mertens got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 3-0. If Radamel-Falcao Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 31 minutes into the match, U21 Egypt's goal looked a bit too open when Dries Mertens came free, but Sallam Yousif reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Delmar Villabona kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Sallam Yousif showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dries Mertens, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hakeem Basel in the 36th minute of play forced U21 Colombia's goalkeeper Simón Trinidad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. U21 Egypt's Sallam Yousif played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dries Mertens in the 54th minute of play. When Botello Barreras fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U21 Colombia's protests and gave Botello Barreras a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of U21 Egypt booed when U21 Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Botello Barreras didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zaky Lateef's late challenge caught a U21 Colombia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zaky Lateef helped the player get up and apologised. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Dries Mertens managed to get in a good position for a shot. U21 Colombia's supporters rose to their feet, but Dries Mertens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sallam Yousif breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dries Mertens in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sallam Yousif saved U21 Egypt from getting behind. Simón Trinidad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hakeem Basel in the 65th minute of the match. U21 Egypt's Zaky Lateef got his second yellow card of the match in the 71st minute. The referee ordered Zaky Lateef off the ground. In the 72nd minute, Zaky Lateef hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zaky Lateef hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. If Ourente Milla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 78 minutes, Jenaro Camazon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U21 Colombia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jenaro Camazon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ezz Amr kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jenaro Camazon in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sallam Yousif saved U21 Egypt from getting behind. The supporters of U21 Colombia booed when U21 Egypt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. The U21 Colombia fans' excitement grew in the 91st match minute when U21 Colombia's Ourente Milla looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. U21 Egypt's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
