Abel Perez came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Chile's Aaron Paetz. But to his dismay, Aaron Paetz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Abel Perez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Alberto Montes in the 6th minute of play. Abel Perez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aaron Paetz in the 10th minute of the match. Mexico's Abel Perez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aaron Paetz in the 11th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Chile's goal looked a bit too open when Melquiades Primeiro came free, but Sarracino Teran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melquiades Primeiro in the 15th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Sarracino Teran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sarracino Teran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angel Odon in the 18th minute of play. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Angel Odon hit a great ball. Paulo Millanao fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel Perez having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aaron Paetz in the 32nd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Abel Perez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chile's Sarracino Teran proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Chile from getting a goal against them. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Angel Odon to make the kick off. Saturnino Botello kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Melquiades Primeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Chile's Sarracino Teran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melquiades Primeiro in the 57th minute of play. Chile's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gaston Trucco in the 60th minute. After 60 played minutes Chile got a freekick which was hit by Hipolito Camiña. After a rather tough play, Chile's Hipolito Camiña got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Abel Perez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rolan Dinha in the 65th minute of the match. After 67 minutes Mexico's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gaston Trucco who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Chile's corner Gaston Trucco fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Abel Perez quite easily take care of the ball. José Alberto Albertz's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 69thth minute, Abel Perez skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Sarracino Teran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angel Odon, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Rolan Dinhas short, quick shot in the 72ndth minute got Abel Perez to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Gaston Trucco might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Abel Perez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gaston Trucco ran back to his position shaking his head. Mexico's Mariano Furtado was substituted for Jonas Cordarin. Sarracino Teran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Sansone, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. In the 81st minute, Generoso Jayvier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 85 played minutes Chile got a freekick which was hit by Hipolito Camiña. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Sansone in the 86th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Sarracino Teran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mexico's Abel Perez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rolan Dinha in the 87th minute of play. In the 89th minute of the match Chile got a corner. Mexico's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gaston Trucco ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Gaston Trucco got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Abel Perez quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Abel Perez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rolan Dinha, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Generoso Jayvier in the 94th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Sarracino Teran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Chile players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
