Seating: 1184, VIP seats: 103) Charanjit Beasley hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Michael Smith showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charanjit Beasley, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. After a rather tough play, U21 India's Arthadarsin Tipnis got a free kick in the 5th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Shaheed Dube in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Harish Badyal saved U21 India from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Javanila Powar during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 8th minute, Javanila Powar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the game, Shaheed Dube cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Harish Badyal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Samuel Roberts charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Samuel Roberts the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to U21 South Africa getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Samuel Roberts hit a great ball. After some careless play in the U21 India defense, Shaheed Dube kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Harish Badyal. The U21 India fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Harish Badyal should have stopped the shot. After 27 played minutes U21 India got a freekick which was hit by Charanjit Beasley. 30 minutes into the game, U21 South Africa's Shaheed Dube nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Harish Badyal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Harish Badyal stood somewhat misplaced when Shaheed Dube came free in front of goal and shot 4-0 to the left of him in the 34 minute. William Thebile could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Harish Badyal made a huge save. U21 India's Harish Badyal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save U21 India from getting a goal against them. Shaheed Dube might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Harish Badyal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Shaheed Dube ran back to his position shaking his head. Shaheed Dube recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Charanjit Beasley made a kick off. When Mawetu Mbule fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored U21 South Africa's protests and gave Mawetu Mbule a yellow card for diving instead. In the 52nd minute, Mawetu Mbule hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 55th match minute, U21 India was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arthadarsin Tipnis to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of U21 South Africa booed when U21 India was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arthadarsin Tipnis didn't get a good kick on the ball. 58 minutes into the game, James Thebile cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Harish Badyal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, U21 South Africa's Jocob Nhlapo got a free kick in the 66th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, James Thebile managed to get in a good position for a shot. U21 South Africa's supporters rose to their feet, but James Thebile was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Harish Badyal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind U21 India's goalkeeper Harish Badyal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 76 minutes had been played when some careless play by U21 India's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mawetu Mbule was slow to take the kick. During this time U21 South Africa's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Mawetu Mbule got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Harish Badyal quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by James Thebile in the 79th minute of play forced U21 India's goalkeeper Harish Badyal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Milton Setlaba in the 81st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by U21 India's Balastha Rekhi. Harish Badyal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of James Thebile's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. 93 minutes into the match, James Thebile notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of U21 India's Harish Badyal. Harish Badyal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. U21 South Africa's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
