In the 6th minute of the match Argentina got a corner. Colombia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ariel Hermelando ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Ariel Hermelando got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ekhi Tamaron quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Ekhi Tamaron made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Silvestre Elorri sent off a good shot on target. In the 10th minute of the match, Silvestre Elorri got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ekhi Tamaron was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 11 minutes Colombia's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ariel Hermelando who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Argentina's corner Lucas Dominix fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ekhi Tamaron quite easily take care of the ball. Silvestre Elorri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Ekhi Tamaron made a huge save. Laureano Karmel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Txanton Pabon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot 19 in the game by Silvestre Elorri from a close distance when the talented Ekhi Tamaron managed to make a qualified save. Colombia's players were relieved. In the 22nd minute Kaiet Caceres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laureano Karmel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ekhi Tamaron made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Silvestre Elorri sent off a good shot on target. Silvestre Elorri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 34 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Silvestre Elorri came free, but Ekhi Tamaron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Laureano Karmel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kaiet Caceres in the 41st minute of play. Ekhi Tamaron took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucas Dominix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaiet Caceres in the 47th minute of play forced Argentina's goalkeeper Laureano Karmel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Silvestre Elorri was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silvestre Elorri in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ekhi Tamaron saved Colombia from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kaiet Caceres got free with Laureano Karmel in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Argentina's Moises Micael was substituted for Lucas Dominix. Argentina made a substitution. Eliseo Pirmin replaced Arcadio Buendia. A sloppy throw-in by Daavid Luis in the 62nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Argentina's Millard Millon. Fabio Romo kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Colombia's Kaiet Caceres slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Laureano Karmel. That made the score 0-1 after 66 minutes of play. Colombia's Sayvion Labastida was substituted for Restu Gamez. Zuriko Hidalgo charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zuriko Hidalgo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 71 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Zuriko Hidalgo. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Bilbo in the 73rd minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Ekhi Tamaron to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 79 minutes, Fabio Romo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Argentina and the Colombia players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 79 played minutes Argentina got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Romo. After some careless play in the Argentina defense, Hibai Archuleta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Laureano Karmel. The Argentina fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Laureano Karmel should have stopped the shot. Ekhi Tamaron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moises Micael in the 84th minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Colombia's goal looked a bit too open when Moises Micael came free, but Ekhi Tamaron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Argentina's goalkeeper Laureano Karmel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hibai Archuleta. Ekhi Tamaron showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Bilbo in the 91st minute of the match. Colombia's Ekhi Tamaron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Bilbo in the 94th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Colombia had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
