Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Alande Brillantes made the kick off which started today's match. With his leg Abraham Vilhelmsson managed to avoid a goal in the 3rdth minute, when Philippines's Alande Brillantes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A hard shot 3 in the game by Alande Brillantes from a close distance when the talented Abraham Vilhelmsson managed to make a qualified save. Iceland's players were relieved. In the 5th minute, Romel Joson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bayan Yase took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teitur Arnljótsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 8th minute Teitur Arnljótsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bayan Yase saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Otri Andrason made a great header on Iceland's corner, it was just that Philippines's Bayan Yase managed to reach the ball for a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matthew Padernal got free with Abraham Vilhelmsson in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 17th minute, Vígmundur Mánason got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bayan Yase came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Iceland's Vígmundur Mánason. But to his dismay, Vígmundur Mánason quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Philippines's Bayan Yase played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaldi Þorrason in the 25th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vígmundur Mánason in the 28th minute of play forced Philippines's goalkeeper Bayan Yase to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abraham Vilhelmsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arthur Pumaren's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matthew Padernal in the 32nd minute of play forced Iceland's goalkeeper Abraham Vilhelmsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Philippines's Abraham Vilhelmsson threw himself towards the right post 33 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Matthew Padernal, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 33rd match minute, Iceland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kaldi Þorrason to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute Alande Brillantes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abraham Vilhelmsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Iceland's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. In the 46th match minute, Iceland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Njáll Gíslason to maneuver through the defense. Abraham Vilhelmsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arthur Pumaren, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vígmundur Mánason to make the kick off. Vígmundur Mánason's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 52ndth minute, Bayan Yase skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Otri Andrason had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iceland's Teitur Arnljótsson got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Teitur Arnljótsson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 63rdth minute, Bayan Yase skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Iceland's Sjafnar Lúðvíksson got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 67th minute Arthur Pumaren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abraham Vilhelmsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, Iceland's Bayan Yase threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Otri Andrason, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Arthur Pumaren hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Teitur Arnljótsson didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-2 via right post in the game's 83rd minute. Iceland's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! In the 91st minute, Teitur Arnljótsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Arthur Pumaren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Philippines's supporters rose to their feet, but Arthur Pumaren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abraham Vilhelmsson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hubert Liclican in the 94th minute of play forced Iceland's goalkeeper Abraham Vilhelmsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arthur Pumaren hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Iceland had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
