The referee showed Cheito Mendieta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Hungary booed when Panama was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cheito Mendieta didn't get a good kick on the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Panama's goal looked a bit too open when Antal Németh came free, but Julio Dely reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Panama had won after a very even match.
