Poland's Aleksander Lukasik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Váldson de Lara in the 18th minute of play. Aleksander Lukasik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Váldson de Lara in the 22nd minute of play. Aleksander Lukasik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Váldson de Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Váldson de Lara struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Aleksander Lukasik didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brazil. Poland's Aleksander Lukasik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Váldson de Lara in the 35th minute of play. In the 38th minute of the match Poland got a corner. Brazil's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Wiktor Chuchro ran over to the corner to take the kick. Aleksander Lukasik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Váldson de Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brazil were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after Poland's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fred Rincón took the corner. The corner led Brazil's Fred Rincón to fire away a dangerous shot which Aleksander Lukasik despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Fred Rincón hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Konrad Zdeb was the one to do the kick off. Aleksander Lukasik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Váldson de Lara in the 56th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Konrad Zdeb got free with Rubinho Faustino in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 60th minute Ciro Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aleksander Lukasik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Poland's Leszek Filipowski was substituted for Roch Madej. Brazil's Váldson de Lara got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Cyryl Kaczeniak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st minute, Váldson de Lara got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aleksander Lukasik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Váldson de Lara in the 73rd minute of play. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Poland's goalkeeper Aleksander Lukasik, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Tytus Puch took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Rubinho Faustino to make any attempt to save it. Brazil's Rubinho Faustino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cyryl Kaczeniak in the 82nd minute of play. Poland were awarded a corner in the 84th minute after Brazil's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Wiktor Chuchro took the corner. After taking down the ball on Poland's corner Ludomil Sanocki fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rubinho Faustino quite easily take care of the ball. After having played for 92 minutes, Váldson de Lara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brazil's supporters crossed their fingers, but Váldson de Lara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aleksander Lukasik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Váldson de Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
