Uxio Calatayud took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gáspár Bódog. Gáspár Bódog dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Sancho Jaraba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Agamenón Abellan managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when Hungary's Gyula Herman fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 24 minutes into the game, Florentino Medina cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Gáspár Bódog was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gyula Herman's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 28thth minute, Agamenón Abellan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Emil Zsinka blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Agamenón Abellan having to make a save. Agamenón Abellan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emil Zsinka in the 30th minute of play. When Spain's Naike Casas in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hungary's goalie prevented a goal. In the 34th minute of the match Spain got a corner. Hungary's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Presebal Vagrande ran over to the corner to take the kick. When Hungary's Emil Zsinka in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Spain's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Naike Casas in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gáspár Bódog prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Agamenón Abellan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emil Zsinka went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gyula Herman in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Agamenón Abellan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gyula Herman stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hungary's Emil Zsinka got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 57th minute, Naike Casas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 59thth minute of the game Emil Zsinka who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Spain's Agamenón Abellan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 61st minute, Gyula Herman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Agamenón Abellan was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Bertold Ács charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bertold Ács the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bertold Ács hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Agamenón Abellan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emil Zsinka in the 71st minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Balázs Orbán hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Spain's Roberto Barreiro was substituted for Sandro March. Spain's Urdin Cuadrado was substituted for Naike Casas. Gáspár Bódog made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Urdin Cuadrado in the 82nd minute of play. After having played for 88 minutes, Urdin Cuadrado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Spain's supporters crossed their fingers, but Urdin Cuadrado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Urdin Cuadrado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gáspár Bódog having to interfere. Xove Herrera struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Gáspár Bódog didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Spain.
