Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) Wasyl Tepper started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Aleksander Lukasik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Odilon Baxter in the 3rd minute of play. Manu Neuer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wasyl Tepper in the 10th minute. In the 11th minute Odilon Baxter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aleksander Lukasik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Poland's Aleksander Lukasik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olin Purcell in the 16th minute of play. Aron Dow made in the 18th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Poland's Adam Trzaskoma. Manu Neuer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wasyl Tepper in the 27th minute of the match. In the 28th minute Wasyl Tepper shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manu Neuer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 33 minutes into the game, Witalis Giertych recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Manu Neuer. Witalis Giertych showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Poland's Aleksander Lukasik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Odilon Baxter in the 40th minute of play. Manu Neuer made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Wasyl Tepper sent off a good shot on target. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
Wasyl Tepper recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manu Neuer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wasyl Tepper, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 56thth minute of the game Wasyl Tepper who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Canada's Manu Neuer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wasyl Tepper in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manu Neuer saved Canada from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wasyl Tepper in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manu Neuer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Poland were awarded a corner in the 61th minute after Canada's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Roch Madej took the corner. A hard and well directed shot from Roch Madej led 61 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Canada's Manu Neuer became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 2-0. In the 63rd minute, one of Canada:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Canada. In the 67th minute, Wasyl Tepper ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manu Neuer was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Poland's Gustaw Pryputnicki was substituted for Hugon Hodas. Wasyl Tepper sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Canada's Manu Neuer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wasyl Tepper in the 72nd minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Adam Trzaskoma had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Manu Neuer. Canada's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adam Trzaskoma was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. The referee felt a red card was in order, 80 minutes into the game, when Gustaw Pryputnicki put in a rough tackle. After a rather tough play, Poland's Gustaw Pryputnicki got a free kick in the 80th minute. In the 81st minute of the match Ian Marks sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aleksander Lukasik skillfully saved the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dwight Coats during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Poland booed when Canada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dwight Coats didn't get a good kick on the ball. Canada's Manu Neuer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Konrad Zdeb in the 83rd minute of play. Odilon Baxter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aleksander Lukasik having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roch Madej in the 90th minute of play forced Canada's goalkeeper Manu Neuer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Poland's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Roch Madej in the 91st minute. Manu Neuer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roch Madej, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Canada's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
